Biography
Wright currently focuses on power system markets in the southern African region. He holds an MSc in electrical engineering from the University of the Witwatersrand. Wright has extensive private and public sector energy sector experience in 11 African countries. At the end of 2015, Wright was appointed to South Africa’s National Planning Commission to help implement the National Development Plan for 2015-2020. Wright also serves on the Advisory Board for African Power Elites: Projects & People and the CIGRE National Committee (Study Committee C5).
Research Interest
Wright is a qualified electrical engineer with particular interests in power system operations, planning, markets and economics.
