Navandran Gounden

Biography

Gounden holds a BSc honours degree in chemistry from the University of South Africa. His area of expertise lies in the operation, maintenance and troubleshooting of chromatography systems; as well as supervision, guidance and training of students and technical support staff for instrumental and wet chemical analysis. Most work relates to new technologies to aid the pulp and paper industry to be more profitable through diversification.

Research Interest

Gounden’s key competencies include size-exclusion as well as liquid and gas chromatography. He is part of a laboratory team that focuses mostly on the pulp and paper industry.
