Biography
Govender is a pioneer in the field of discrete element modelling of particles on the GPU. He is associated with the Ecole Mines Douai in France where he works on projects in civil engineering, and the University of Utah in the United States of America on mining and minerals engineering. He is an associate researcher at the University of Lille, France, and has an H-factor of 20 (2016).
Research Interest
Govender has interests in a variety of fields, such as graphics processing unit programming, computational physics, computational mechanics, mineral engineering, Monte Carlo methods, autonomous systems and deep learning.
