Biography
Govender holds a PhD in biochemistry from the Queen’s University in the United Kingdom. She is a senior researcher in mechatronics and micro manufacturing, focusing on the development of a point-of-care blood diagnostic tool. She is also involved in researching the point-of-care landscape, specifically for HIV screening and management.
Research Interest
Govender’s research interests lie in the development, commercialisation and implementation of medical diagnostic tools.
