Biography
Marloes has significant experience in the field of sustainability in the Built Environment. She acquired research and academic skills during her studies and work at the CSIR. As part of her first Master degree (MSc, TU/e), she developed the Sustainable School Design Tool for the design of schools in rural areas in South Africa. Her second Master degree was dealing with Energy Efficiency Labelling programmes for South Africa (MArch, WITS). Within the CSIR (2003-2006) the two main projects that she worked on were the ‘Sustainable Building Assessment Tool (SBAT)’ and the ‘Green Building Programme for Africa’.
