Biography

Achievements: Recipient of the Nelson Mandela Scholarship (AUSAID) [Australia Awards in Africa AAA]. Recipient of the Women Leadership Development Programme funding from ETDP-SETA (2012). Co-ordinated National Youth Development Programmes through the National Department of Social Development: Directorate Youth. Provided training and rollout of the National Youth Service Programme in partnership with the NYDA nationally. Invited to various national and provincial engagements to discuss issues related to youth development.

Research Interest

Factors related to Resiliency and Reluctant behaviors in children and youth from disadvantaged backgrounds. Supervision , skilling and re-skilling of child and youth care workers. Development and Intergenerational relations. Processes linked to the professionalization of ‘Child and youth Development’ , ‘Community Development’ ,’ Youth Work’ and Volunteerism.
