Biography
Assoc Prof Kosheek Sewchurran is the program director of the Executive MBA at the GSB since December 2013. He teaches Business Model Innovation, Strategy-as-Practice (SAP) and Leadership-as-Practice (LAP). His responsibilities include designing the program conversations, interventions and pedagogical outcomes to nurture and create executives who are able, in their actions and their being, to lead authentically in the societal context humanity experiences. This involves interaction with academics and business leaders; reading and engaging with their research and contemporary media; and designing on-going student experiences that maximize the emergence of the collective outcomes of learning, innovation, management competence, authentic leadership, and entrepreneurial will-to-venture and thought leadership capacity, from the EMBA program. Throughout his more than 25 year working career he has been immersed in technology and organisational design, strategy, leadership and business management. Prior to joining the GSB he spent a short while being HOD of the Information Systems department in the faculty of commerce. And prior to this he was a member of faculty teaching project and technology management. Prior to academia he spent a little over a decade on manufacturing projects, working as a Systems Engineer optimizing plant automation and designing and implementing enterprise information systems.
