Biography
Dr Mbali Mhlongo is a lecturer in the Discipline of Nursing. She holds the following qualifications: BCur Eet A (UNIZUL), MCur (UKZN), PhD (WITS), Human Resource Management (UNISA); AHMP(FPD& Yale University). Dr Mhlongo advanced her career through a number of bursaries including the Robert Niven Trust and the Public Service Commission. She completed her PhD through the Ford Foundation International programme and she is also a recipient of the Advanced Health Management Programme scholarship from the Foundation for Professional Development She has worked for the following organizations: King Edward V111 Hospital (professional nurse); Montebello Nursing School (Nurse Educator); Amatikulu PHC Centre (Trainer); University of Zululand (Lecturer); Africa Centre for Health and Population studies (Training manager); Reproductive Health and HIV Research Unit, a Wits Health Consortium (Project Coordinator); UKZN Nelson Mandela School of Medicine (Project manager);the Road Accident Fund (Employee Wellness Specialist & Post Claims Settlement Manager) and at DUT (Lecturer) Professional Positions & Awards Member of the Ford Foundation International Fellowship Program Alumni Association Member of the Golden Key International Honour Society Specialist member of the South African Institute of Health Care Managers
