Economic Development, Industrial Development, Special Economic Zones (SEZs), the newly proposed Industrial Economic Hubs as well as other catalytic projects and strategic investments such as the Aerotropolis within the KZN province. My interest is in studying how these economic development tools address post-apartheid redress, how they impact on the quality of life of the marginalised, how they synchronize economic growth with community development and how benefits derived from these tools are distributed equally to facilitate inclusive economic development and bridge disparities.
