Biography
Joined the School of nursing in August 2012, as an academic co- ordintator of the bridging course. Also lecture in the BNAP critical care modules. - Worked in Saudi Arabia, in The Institute of Nursing for 4years (2007 – 2010), was the chairperson of academic counselling and exam committee, and HOD first year Diploma nursing -Worked in Saudi Research hospital (2003- 2006) as a clinical nurse specialist in CCU, involved in continuing development of critical care nurses within the hospital. - Worked as a registered nurse in high care and critical care units in St Aidans (1994 – 2001) hospital and Entabeni (2000-2002). -Graduated with Masters in Nursing (critical Care) at UKZN in 2003. Graduated with degree in Nursing Admin and Education for UNISA (1998), cum laude. Awarded the faculty medal and merit bursaries for 3 consecutive years of study. - Graduated with diploma (general, midwifery, community, psychiatry) from Natal College of Nursing- St Aidans Campus 1992, taking the award for best 4th year student nurse, and the Mayor’s medal for academic performance.
