Biography
Professor Wium de Villiers is a full professor in the Department of ProceduralLlaw. He holds the degrees BIuris LLB LLD (Pret). He has extensive experience in criminal litigation and has inter alia worked as prosecutor, magistrate and advocate in private practice (as a member of the Pretoria Bar). He teaches criminal procedure and evidence for undergraduate students, and advanced criminal procedure for postgraduate students. Professor de Villiers has close to fifty publications in peer reviewed local and foreign based international journals, andhas delivered many papers at local and international conferences. He has also lectured abroad and presides in the Law School practical examinations in Criminal Procedure.Â
