Biography
Charles Maimela is a lecturer in the Department of Private Law at the University of Pretoria. He holds the degrees LLB (Unisa) LLM (Unisa), and is currently reading for his LLD in the area of Medical Law with Unisa. He joined the Department of Private Law as lecturer in July 2016 after serving for two years in the Department of Private Law at the University of Kwazulu Natal, where he was a module co-ordinator for modules such as Law of Persons and Family Law. Further, he was involved in teaching legal research to both first and second year students at the University. Before this, he served for three years in the Department of Jurisprudence at Unisa, where he was a lecturer and responsible for teaching modules such as Origins of South African Law; Legal research and Professional Ethics.
