Biography
Dr. Nwabisa Mehlomakulu is a lecturer at the department of Food Science, University of Pretoria. She currently lectures fruit and vegetable processing. Her research focus is on fruit and vegetables processing – post harvest quality and preservation of fresh produce. She has experience in yeast biotechnology having worked on non-Saccharomycesyeasts as either cheese starter cultures or sources of antimicrobial compounds and lowering ethanol content in wine. Her research interest is food preservation using biological methods and processing methods.Â
