She is a professor in Department of Mechanical & Aeronautical Engineering in University of Pretoria. She has achieved several honors & awards during her career including, Bergles-Rohsenow Young Investigator in Heat Transfer Award, American Society of Mechanical Engineers International, Orlando (Florida, USA), November 2005; Intelligent Optimal Design Prize, CADLM, Paris (France), October 2006; Research award, Bureau de la Recherche Navale (USA), International Conference Design & Nature II, Rhodes, June 2004; James P. Hartnett Memorial Award, International Center for Heat and Mass Transfer, ASME Congress, Nov. 2007, Seattle ; The Order “Les Palmes Academiques”, Ministry of National ducation, France, Nov. 2008 and many others.
