Biography
Prof Patel is an Associate Professor in the Department of Civil and Chemical Engineering, College of Science, Engineering and Technology (CSET), University of South Africa (UNISA). He rreceived his doctoral degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of the Witwatersrand in 2007, where he developed a new framework for synthesis and evaluation of chemical processes. He was employed as a consultant at the Centre of Material and Process Synthesis (COMPS), University of the Witwatersrand from 2007 until June 2012. He has been at UNISA since then.
