Molebogeng Nkobane

Biography

Mrs Molebogeng Nkobane is an ambitious, hardworking and one persistent individual.Her working experience track record is as follows: In-service training at Total Coal South Africa(2008 to 2009) Shift work (plant operator) Duties Metallurgical projects included: Investigating Magnetite losses in the plant Investigating Efficiency of a magnetic Separator Investigating high moisture content in coal products Determining near size particles by investigating the efficiency of a cyclone Feasibility study on modifications and the implementation of the modifications to the current coal plants at TCSA. Washability curves Laboratory work on testing the quality of coai:Calorific value,Moisture,Ash and volitiles Trainee Metallurgist at SGS (2010) Duties: Project Lead on the recovery of Gold on Baberton tails Sample preparation Cyanide leaching(CIL) Screen and grading Report writing Mrs M NKOBANE was firstly employed as an intern (2011) at the research office in the College of Science Engineering and Technology of UNISA. She then was employed as a research assistant in the school of Civil and Chemical Engineering-UNISA, where now she is currently a Lecturer in the department.

Research Interest

Research focus on various aspects of nanoscience and nanotechnology ranging from preparation of the nano sized materials and their various applications in the industry, Optimising the green synthesis process of these Nano metal oxides, as well as their Environmental impact.
