Biography
Prof Carmel van Niekerk is a lecturer in the Department of Private of Law since she joined the faculty in 2009. She currently teaches the law of Persons and the Law of Delict.
Research Interest
Research interests include: the law of persons, the legal consequences of assisted reproductive technology, wrongful life claims in the law of delict, teaching and learning and the future of legal education in South Africa, in particular the four-year undergraduate LLB
