Biography
Alvaro De Sousa is professor of Chemistry at University of the witswatersrand. He has a particular interest is the design of new lanthanide metal complexes with macrocyclic and acyclic chelating ligands as suitable contrast agents in magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) or as luminescent devices for the recognition and sensing of physiologically active ions.
Research Interest
His research focuses on design of new lanthanide.
