Biography
Dr Chrissie Sievers is currently working as Professor of Archaeology at University of Witwatersrand
Research Interest
Middle Stone Age macrobotanical remains from Sibudu, Border Cave and Bushman Rock Shelter are the focus of her research, with an emphasis on seeds and fruits, and “bedding”, which generally consists of grasses and sedges laid on shelter floors to provide a multipurpose surface for various activities.
