Biography
Francis Duncan is currently working as professor and the Head of School Animal, Plant and Enviromental Sciences at University of Witwatersrand. Her research focuses on the mechanisms used by insects to cope with extreme environments, mainly deserts.

Her research Entomology, Invertebrate Physiology, Ecophysiology, Social Insects, Insect Behavior.
