Biography
Dr Marc Humphries is currently working as professor of chemistry at University of the witswatersrand. He is an environmental geochemist who has a particular interest in the geochemistry and geomorphological evolution of wetlands, lakes and estuaries. Focused much of his research on understanding processes related to chemical cycling, nutrient accumulation, and sedimentation in freshwater lakes and wetland systems. He is also interested in the application of stable and radioactive isotopes in understanding aspects of hydrology and sedimentology.
Research Interest
He specialises on Geochemistry, Environmental Geochemistry, Chemical cycling Nutrient acummulation and Sedimentation.
