Biography
Prof Rais Latypov is currently working as Associate Professor of Geosciences at University of Witwatersrand
Research Interest
Specializing in the field of igneous petrology and especially highly interested in the study of the processes of magma differentiation, crystallization and solidification in mafic dykes, dolerite sills and large mafic-ultramafic layered intrusions. In addition, he trying to understand how the operation of these physico-chemical processes in the intrusive bodies results in concentration of ore-forming elements into economically viable mineral deposits.
