Biography
Raseelo Moitsheki is a Professor in the School of Computational and Applied Mathematics, University of the Witwatersrand. He is a C2 rated scientist by the National Research Foundation of South Africa (NRF). Professor Moitsheki is a member of the South African Mathematics Society, an accredited member of the Australian Mathematical Society and a registered Professional Natural Scientist through the South African Council for Natural Scientific Professions. His interests are into non-linear Applied Partial Differential Equations (PDEs).
Research Interest
His interests are into non-linear Applied Partial Differential Equations (PDEs) in particular, invariant solutions of nonlinear boundary value problems and applications to real world phenomena. Furthermore I am interested in Lie symmetry analysis of differential equations, using computer algebra with special interest to classical and non-classical point symmetries, equivalence transformations, non-local symmetries, conservation laws and higher order symmetries. The main emphasis is to models arising in heat transfer in extended surfaces, water and contaminant transport in soils, linear and nonlinear PDEs arising in financial derivative pricing
