Biography
Wilna obtained her Master’s degree in Pharmacology from the University of Pretoria and started her career as part-time Pharmacology Lecturer at third year level. As Academic Research Coordinator, she gained experience in clinical research by planning, co-designing and coordinating pre-clinical and phase II pilot clinical studies. She widened her experience in the Pharmaceutical Industry at Adcock Ingram as Medical Representative for prescribed pharmaceuticals in their Respiratory Portfolio. Following that position, she was appointed as a Clinical Operations Project Manager at Servier Laboratories in 2012, where she managed phase II and III clinical studies from start-up to close-out including assessment of potential investigative sites, clinical trial applications to Regulatory Authorities, initiating clinical trials at investigative sites, guiding site personnel during the conduct of clinical trials, closing clinical trials at investigative sites and continued training and development of CRAs. Wilna joined the Vx Pharma team in November 2015.
