At present Senior Lecturer at the Faculty of Life Science, University of Manchester (U.K.).President of the British Mycological Society, Member of the Eukaryotic Division, Society for General Microbiology, Vice President of the International Biodeterioration and Biodegradation Society, Editor-in-chief of Fungal Biology Reviews, Director and founder of the Biotechnology program at the University of Manchester (Enterprise), Member of the Eukaryotic Division of the Society for General Microbiology, Founder and Director of Fungal Biology Ltd.Over 100 peer reviewed scientific papers including Nature and is co-author on 8 patents.
