Biography
Medical studies at the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Madrid (1952-1959). Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery from the University of Madrid (1959). Resident of Ophthalmology at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Salamanca (1961-1962). Resident of the Barraquer Institute in Barcelona (1963-1966). Title of Specialist in Ophthalmology from the University of Barcelona (1966). Continuing education courses at the University of New-York, with teachers such as Troutman, Katzin and Castroviejo (keratoplasty) (1966-1967). Attending specialized courses on different topics in several specialty ophthalmology centres in Spain (1967-1970). Continuing education courses in the San Giovanni Hospital of the University of Rome, Professor Strampelli (Osteo-Odonto-keratoprostheses and glaucoma) (1973-1974). Doctor in Medicine and Surgery from the Autonomous University of Barcelona (1981). Excellent "cum laude" in the doctoral thesis. Acadèmic Corresponent of the Royal Academy of Medicine of Catalonia (1994). GP in the Spanish National Health System, as well as in the Public Social Security Systems of other States.
Research Interest
"Collaborator Ophthalmologist at the Barraquer Ophthalmology Centre since 1966. Collaborating in the Departments of Strabismus, Dacriology and Retina. He worked in Anterior Segment since 1970 and performed all types of anterior segment surgery and specialised in keratoplasty and keratoprostheses lately. "
