Biography
Jose Requejo-Isidro completed his physics degree at Universidade de Santiago de Compostela and earned his PhD in 2002 at Instituto de Óptica (CSIC) in Madrid. He then joined the Photonics Group at Imperial College London where he worked on optical methodologies focused on minimally invasive medical diagnoses and the quantification of molecular interactions. He joined Unidad de Biofísica (CSIC-UPV/EHU) in 2008. He works on the development and application of novel imaging optical methodologies for the quantitative investigation of the spatial organisation and the dynamics of inter- and intra-molecular interactions in living cells. He is majorly concerned with lipid-protein and protein-protein interactions that may result in cancer when they are misregulated.
