Biography
Bernhard Ehmer was named Chairman of the Biotest AG Board of Directors in January 2015. Prior to this he served in the Imclone Group - a wholly owned subsidiary of Eli Lilly - as Chairman of Imclone Systems Corporation in the USA. and as executive director in Germany. In 2007/2008 he held the position of Managing Director of Fresenius Biotech, Germany. From 2000 to 2005 Bernhard Ehmer headed the Oncology Business Sector of Merck KgaA, Darmstadt and previously, from 1998 to 2000, he had served as director of "Global Clinical Operations" at Merck. Between 1986 and 1998 he held various positions at Boehringer Mannheim in Germany, Italy and Singapore. Bernhard Ehmer holds a degree in medicine and worked in internal medicine at the Academic Teaching Hospital of the University of Heidelberg
