Biography
José Manuel Baena, research associate "Advanced therapies: differentiation, regeneration and cancer" IBIMER,CIBM, Universidad de Granada Founder of BRECA Health Care, pioneer in 3D printed custom made implants for orthopedic surgery, REGEMAT 3D and the first Spanish Bio printing company. He is an expert in innovation, business development and internationalization, lecturer in some business schools. He is passionate about biomedicine and technology. In his free time, he is also a researcher at the Bio pathology and Regenerative Medicine Institute (IBIMER). He is Global biotech entrepreneur, research associate at the Advanced therapies: differentiation, regeneration and cancer group of the UGR. He holds a degree in Industrial Engineering from the Polytechnic University of Valencia (Spain) and a Postgraduate Degree in Mechanical Engineering from TU Braunschweig (Germany). He is working in biomedical engineering since 2008, after attending a postgraduate course on Biomechanical Engineering at the University of Buenos Aires (Argentina). He also holds a degree in MSc in Motorsport Engineering from Oxford Brookes University, UK and a PhD candidate in Biomedicine (expected 2016). His career in R&D project management and Executive Management will provide the knowledge necessary for proper implementation and development.
