Biography
He was born in Alcázar de San Juan (Ciudad Real) in 1978. Nieto de Oficilia Ruiz Cortés. He holds a degree in Chemical Sciences from the University of Castilla-La Mancha (1999) and a PhD from the same University in the branch of Inorganic Chemistry (January 2005). He held a first postdoctoral stay (2005-2006) in the laboratory of Prof. Manfred Bochmann at the 'School of Pharmacy', University of East Anglia (UK) working on the study of the mechanisms involved in obtaining biodegradable polymers. A second stay was held at the Rey Juan Carlos University in Madrid, focusing its interest in obtaining new organometallic compounds for the development of new biodegradable polymer architectures. In 2007 he joined as a teacher and researcher at the Faculty of Chemistry of Ciudad Real of the University of Castilla-La Mancha. At the moment he is Professor Contractor Doctor of the area of Inorganic Chemistry in the degree of Pharmacy of said University. It develops its research tasks in the design and synthesis of new derivatives of transition metals as potential chemotherapeutic agents.
