Biography
Rosa M. Carrasco holds a PhD in Geology from the Universidad Complutense de Madrid. Her Researcher began in 1989 in the Department of Geodynamics of Faculty of Geology (UCM), combining it with its stay in other Centers: Department of Projects and Rural Planning (ETSI de Montes, UPM), Area of ​​Techniques Geological and Geophysical Research (IGME), and the Department of Soil Conservation of the Environmental Sciences (CSIC). In 1997 she began her teaching as a Full Professor In the Department of Environment (Faculty of Sciences, UEM). In the year 2000, Incorporates the University of Castilla-La Mancha, where she alternates her work Professor with research studies and publications related to Geomorphology, Geological Risks, Physical Planning and Environmental Impact Assessment, and Restoration Of altered areas.
Research Interest
Glacier geomorphology of mountain areas. Reconstruction of the ice masses and Estimation of paleo-ELAs, mass balances and paleotemperatures. Chronology, Morphostratigraphy and evolutionary sequence of glaciers.
