Biography

Eduardo Moltó Pérez graduated with a gold diploma in Biochemistry at the University of Habana in 1996. From that year he was professor of Biochemistry at the Faculty of Biology Of that university. In the year 2000 he began his doctoral thesis in the UCLM, in the laboratory Of Diabetes and Obesity directed by Dr. Antonio Andrés Hueva, of the Regional Biomedical Research of Ciudad Real. In 2005 he obtained the Doctorate Degree in Chemistry by the UCLM, and in 2007 he became a postdoctoral researcher in the Laboratory of Animal Models for Genetic Manipulation directed by Dr. Lluís Montoliu, National Center for Biotechnology (CNB-CSIC). Since 2011 he is a teacher Assistant Doctor of the Degree of Biochemistry of our faculty. Has submitted more than 30 Research in numerous national and international Coauthor, lead author or guest speaker, and has received scholarships and prizes from the following Institutions: International Union of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology (IUBMB), Federation Society of Pigmented Cell Societies (IFPCS), Research Center Biomedical Network of Rare Diseases (CIBERER), Community of CastillaLa Mancha, Spanish Agency for International Cooperation (AECI), CastillaLa Foundation Spot for Diabetes (FUCAMDI) and University of Havana.

Research Interest

Molecular and endocrinology: signaling pathways for insulin, leptin and Resistin in relation to Diabetes and obesity; Genes involved.
