Biography

PhD in Chemistry from the Universidad Complutense (1981). Has been researcher Postdoctoral fellow at the University of Dundee (Great Britain) during 1985-87 and professor In Orsay (France) in 1993 and UCLA (USA) in 1997. 1991, he joined the University of Castilla-La Mancha (UCLM), as Full Professor, Where he is Professor since 2002. He is currently director of the Institute of Nanoscience, Nanotechnology and Molecular Materials of the UCLM and President of the specialized group In Nanoscience and Molecular Materials of the Royal Spanish Society of Chemistry. Member of the Royal Spanish Society of Chemistry, the American Chemical Society and The Electrochemical Society. He is also coordinator of the UCLM of the Master and Doctorate Interuniversities in Nanoscience and Molecular Nanotechnology (Mention of Excellence, BOE of 10/20/2011). He is the author of more than 140 research papers and books. Co-editor of the book "Fullerenes: principles and applications", edited in the series Nanoscience & Nanotechnology of the Royal Society of Chemistry (2nd ed. 2012). Has Currently a factor h = 30, having received their publications more than 2500 citations
