Biography
Dr. Inmaculada Ballesteros Yáñez holds a Licentiate (Intracurricular Neurobiology specialty, 2001) and PhD in Biology (Neurosciences specialty, 2006) by the Universidad Complutense de Madrid. She is currently a professor contracted doctor in the area of ​​Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at the Faculty of Medicine of Ciudad Real of the University of Castilla-La Mancha and accredited as a university holder by the ANECA. His lines of research focus on the neurochemical and neuroanatomic effects of drug abuse and the characterization of other diseases of the central nervous system, a work he carries out in the eMAS (Molecular Studies Applied to Health Sciences) research group of which he is IP. He has done 5 stays in US Centers (Columbia University, Vanderbilt University and University of Southern California). France (Institut Pasteur) and Spain (UNED). During his research career he has participated in more than 10 national and international competitive research projects of public and private financing,
