Biography
Doctor of Medicine and Surgery (1990) from the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid (1994). His degree thesis was mechanical properties of Rete Mirabile Carotid Arteries Artiodactyla and doctoral thesis was in vitro study of the internal carotid system. He was trained in the UK in Cardiovascular Pharmacology with Prof. Salvador Moncada in the field of nitric oxide. Before being a full professor at the Faculty of Medicine of the UCLM he worked in Cardiovascular Physiology in Switzerland and in the Faculty of Medicine of the U. of Murcia. Now he runs with Silvia Llorens line physiology Vascular CRIB "vasoactive effects of bioactive components of saffron" and "vasoactive properties of perivascular adipose tissue
