Enrique Palomo Atance

Biography

He holds a PhD in Medicine from Universidad Complutense de Madrid (2001), a specialist in Pediatrics and his Specific Areas at La Paz University Hospital in Madrid (2006), Doctor of Medicine from the University of Castilla-La Mancha (2011), and Associate Professor of the Faculty of Medicine of Ciudad Real since 2015. Optional Area Specialist from 2006 to present in the Pediatric Service of the General University Hospital of Ciudad Real with a preferred dedication to Pediatric Endocrinology. Tutor of residents of Pediatrics from the year 2011 to the present. Member of the Research Commission of the General University Hospital of Ciudad Real from 2011 to the present. Member of the Spanish Society of Pediatric Endocrinology (SEEP) and the Spanish Association of Pediatrics (AEP). Member of the obesity working group of the SEEP. He has published 28 articles in scientific journals, 14 of them as first author, and 9 of them in journals with impact factor. He has also published 4 chapters of books and has collaborated in the preparation of the Pediatrics (edited by the AEP Medication Committee). Principal investigator in the project "Influence of overweight on insulin sensitivity in diabetes mellitus in the pediatric age" that obtained a FISCAM scholarship in 2010. Member of the Editorial Committee of the publication "Apuntes de Ciencia" and reviewer of three other publications countries. He has presented and participated in more than 70 communications to national and international meetings and congresses. He has received 6 research awards at national and regional level, including the José Igea National Prize (2011).
