Biography
Dr. Luis Beato Fernández holds a degree in Medicine from the University of Seville and trained as a specialist in Psychiatry at the Reina Sofía University Hospital in Córdoba in 1991-94. He completed his training in the Eating Disorders, Liaison Psychiatry and Behavioral Psychotherapy units of the Maudsley and Bethelem Hospital in London and in the Eating Disorders Unit of the Hospital of the Child Jesus in Madrid. He received his doctorate at the University of Córdoba in 1999. Since July 1995, he works at the Psychiatry Service of the General Hospital of Ciudad Real. In 1999 he started the Unit of Eating Disorders of the Hospital Complex of Ciudad Real, which has 10 beds of hospitalization. Since May 2007; in which hospital care was expanded with 15 beds for the attention of serious mental pathology of children and adolescents of Castilla La Mancha; is Head of Section of Child and Juvenile Psychiatry and Eating Disorders of the General Hospital of Ciudad Real.
