Biography
ersidad Complutense de Madrid (1981) and a PhD in Medicine and Surgery (Sociosanitary Sciences Program: Area of ​​History of Science) from the same university (1994). He has been an extraordinary doctoral award, Hernández Morejón award from the Spanish Society of History of Medicine to the best thesis of History of Medicine of Spanish universities, and National Prize of History of Medicine Uriach (1994). She is the teacher in charge of the subject History of Medicine and Scientific Documentation and participates in the subject of Fundamentals of research in Medicine. He has worked at the École des Hautes Études en Sciences Sociales. (Center de Recherches Historiques, Laboratoire EHESS-CNRS) in Paris, first as a postdoctoral fellow (1996-1998) and subsequently as a guest lecturer. She has also been a guest lecturer at the Center for Health, Culture and Society and the Emory University Department of Spanish and Portuguese (Atlanta, USA). She has also worked in the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Oviedo as an associate professor. In January of 1999 it was incorporated to the Faculty of Medicine of Albacete like professor of the subjects: History of the Medicine; Informatics, Medical Information and Documentation, and Medical Sociology and Anthropology (from the 2000-2001 academic year). She has been an associate professor since 2003 and is a Full Professor of the Department of Medical Sciences at the University of Castilla-La Mancha.
Research Interest
History of diseases, history of physical disabilities and history of social protection policies.
