Biography
Graduated in Medicine at the Universidad Complutense de Madrid in 1978. Diploma in Health and Specialist in Pediatrics. Outstanding Doctor Cum Laude by the University of Córdoba in 2001. He has carried out his professional activity in Public Health, mainly hospital, having participated in health management, focused on training and research as Director of the Public Foundation FUCAMDI (Foundation of Castilla la Mancha for Diabetes). Most of his scientific activities and lines of research have focused on pediatric endocrinology, especially in diabetes, although he has also collaborated in other aspects of pediatrics, for which he has received several research and management awards at the national level. He has participated as a co-author in publications of 16 books, 36 articles in scientific journals, as well as in participations in several congresses. He co-directed 4 doctoral theses. He has participated as a member of the thesis court on 9 occasions. In teaching activities, both postgraduate and continuing education, highlighting his role as a Collaborating professor with the University of Cordoba for 6 years.
