Biography

Dr. Pedro Rozas Moreno has a degree in Medicine and Surgery (2002) and a PhD in Medicine (2009) from the University of Granada. At the moment it works like Facultative Specialist of Area of ​​Endocrinology and Nutrition in Hospital General University of Ciudad Real. He is the national coordinator of the bone metabolism group and a member of the diabetes mellitus group of the Spanish Society of Endocrinology and Nutrition (SEEN). In turn, is coordinator of the subject of Endocrinology and Metabolism of the Faculty of Medicine of Ciudad Real. As a researcher, his main areas of interest are diabetes mellitus type 2 and disorders of bone metabolism. He is part of the research group of Dr. Manuel Muñoz-Torres of the Clinical Hospital of Granada. The scientific trajectory of this group in the last 5 years includes 21 articles in international journals, 6 of them in Q1 journals, and 10 articles in national journals, 5 of them in journals with impact factor. In addition, they have submitted 60 communications to national congresses and 45 to international congresses. The group currently belongs to the Cooperative Research Thematic Network on Aging and Fragility-RETICEF. RD12 / 0043/0014. Dr. Rozas has participated as a collaborative researcher on two FIS fellowships, has been co-director of a doctoral thesis and is currently director of three doctoral theses. In 2007 he received the award as a young researcher of the Spanish Society for Bone Research and Mineral Metabolism (SEIOMM).
