Biography

PhD (1980); Associate Professor (1984) University of Barcelona; Director of the Premià de Mar Museum: from 2002 to 2004; Senior Researcher since 2005 at the Institut Català d’Arqueologia Clàssica. Studies in archaeological topography in rural Roman world, territory, landscape and settlement. Rural areas of the Roman cities of Baetulo and Iluro. Technical, scientific and economic advisor for the “Archaeological works in the A19 motorway construction” from 1991 to 1995. Technical, scientific and economic advisor for the “Archaeological works in the C32 motorway construction” from 1996 to 1997. Principal Investigator with Prof. Josep Guitart for the project “Ancient Landscape in Western Cossetania”. Principal Investigator with Prof. Josep Guitart for the “Ager Tarraconensis Project (PAT). Archaeological Landscape study, right side of the river Francolí”, from 2005 to 2015, 41 researchers. Principal Investigator for the project “Archaeological works in the third lane of the AP7 motorway” from 2008 to 2014, 22 researchers. Scientific Secretary of the Catalan Commission for the TIR-FOR project. Member of the International Commission for the TIR-FOR project. Editor of the Journal “Butlletí de la Societat Catalana d’Estudis Històrics”.
