Biography
Juanjo holds a PhD in Veterinary Medicine from the University of León (with an Extraordinary Bachelor's Degree) and a Law Degree from the University of Valladolid. He has more than 30 years of experience in the health sector. In 1986, he entered, as career official, in the General State Administration, with the number one of his opposition. He was Director General of Public Health of Castilla y León and from 1991 to 2000, he held the post of Director General of Public Health of the Ministry of Health and Consumer Affairs. Consultant to FAO, has multiple publications and has been a member of the Boards of Directors of several public companies. In 2002, he moved to the pharmaceutical sector as Public Affairs Director of Wyeth, maintaining the same position at Pfizer after the merger of both companies.
