Biography
Amparo González-Ferrer is a Senior Scientist attached to the Center for Human and Social Sciences of the CSIC, where she participates in the Research Group on Demographic Dynamics. He has worked extensively on family migration, political integration of migrants and determinants of international migration. He currently coordinates the European Project TEMPER-Temporary versus Permanent Migration and directed the Spanish team of the MAFE-Migrations between Africa and Europe Project, both funded by the 7th Framework Program of the European Commission. He also co-directs along with H. Cebolla the project CHANCES-Aspirations, Expectations and Vital Orientations of young people of migrant and non-migrant origin in Spain, financed by the Ministry of Economy and Competitiveness. Periodically he collaborates with the blog 'Piedras de Papel' (http://www.eldiario.es/autores/amparo_gonzalez_ferrer/ (link is external) ) writing about issues related to migration.
