Biography
He has a degree (1986) and a PhD (1990) in Human Geography from the Autonomous University of Madrid. He is the first Spanish author with publications in journals such as Journal of Rural Studies or Land Use Policy. External evaluator of more than 40 specialized scientific journals around the world. Scientific editor (in collaboration), in the year 1999 of the monographic issue on Environmental Policy and Sustainability (International Journal of Sociology); in 2006 (in collaboration), of the special issue on Public Policies, Sustainability and Rural Geography of the Bulletin of the Association of Spanish Geographers; and editor in 2008 of the special issue on Space Qualification in Arbor magazine edited by the CSIC. Member of the editorial and editorial committee of some relevant journals (ISI, SCOPUS) in Sociology and rural and environmental studies. He is currently Member of Editorial Advisory Group.
