He obtains a scholarship at the Institute of History of the CSIC to carry out his Doctoral Thesis, which he defends with the highest qualification at the Complutense University in 1986. In 1987, after competition, he joins as a Scientific Collaborator in the Department of Modern History of the referred Institute of the CSIC, where he is currently assigned as a Senior Scientist of the CSIC, with a destination in the Department of Modern History, Institute of History.
