Biography
Pilar García Mouton is Professor of Research at the Higher Council for Scientific Research at the Institute of Language, Literature and Anthropology, of which she has been director. He received his doctorate in Romance Philology from the Complutense University of Madrid, where he was Professor of Spanish Language at the Faculty of Philology. He directed the Journal of Spanish Philology between 2005 and 2015, and curated, with Mario Pedrazuela Fuentes, the exhibition The Science of the Word. One hundred years of the Journal of Spanish Philologyheld in Madrid, at the Conde Duque Cultural Center between July and September 2015, whose catalog was published by Editorial CSIC. From 1989 to 2006 she was a counselor at Editorial Gredos and co-responsible for its Hispanic Románic Library. In December 2015, the corresponding Academic of the Royal Spanish Academy was elected.
