Biography
BA in Economic Development and International Cooperation at the University of Palermo (2006), MSc in Cooperation and Development at the University of Turin (2010), and PhD in Political Sociology at the University of Turin (2017). Her dissertation, entitled "Pending between care and control", examined the gap between formal policies on migrants' rights to healthcare and context-specific practices of implementation adopted at the front- line of the multi-level and regionalized Italian healthcare system, focusing on the interplay between institutional, organizational and individual mechanisms responsible for discretionary actions.
