The Board of the Centre for Genomic Regulation has appointed Bruna Vives as the centre’s new CEO Vives takes over from Marian Marrodán, who has successfully led the institute from its creation. After an open selection process led by an external company, supported by a specific internal panel headed up by the director of the CRG, Luis Serrano, the centre’s Board approved the appointment of Bruna Vives as new CEO. “Bruna Vives brings together management, leadership and organisation skills, and has in-depth knowledge of the organisation. All these aspects will allow her to work in the most professional way possible with a clear orientation towards the needs of the centre” explains Luis Serrano, director of the CRG. The path to excellence Right from the time when the Centre for Genomic Regulation was no more than an idea, Marian Marrodán was focused on making it a reality. Working hand in glove with the centre’s first director, Miguel Beato, some scientists and a small management team that came up with the project, Marrodán has successfully managed an institute that has achieved scientific excellence and which has turned out to be a pioneering and innovative management model.
