Biography

 Coloproctología Barcelona is an office composed of two doctors specialized in General and Digestive Surgery, with the European Board of Colo-rectal Surgery (EBSQ-UEMS) whose care activity is to treat patients with colorectal disease both in an elective and urgent way with the last technical advances and extensive experience in this area. Our experience includes the treatment of benign as well as malignant colorectal cancer. This includes minimally invasive surgery of the colon and rectum with laparoscopy, robotics, trans-anal surgery, as well as more extensive resections as in advanced cancer. In the context of the pelvic floor we perform multidisciplinary and surgical treatments including ventral rectopexy, transanal treatment of rectocele and intussusception and all current techniques in this difficult field. Regarding anal pathology, we performed the treatment of hemorrhoids with the latest techniques (THD, ligasure, etc) and the newest treatment of anal fistula to minimize the risk of complications such as recurrence or incontience (tail, plugs, LIFT, OTSC , etc). As a last resort, we have the most modern equipment and a wide experience in the diagnosis and follow-up of the complications of anal papilloma, whose forms of presentation are anal condyloma and anal intraepithelial neoplasia. With a strict and protocolized monitoring (unique in Spain in private medicine) of high resolution anoscopy, so that the chances of a progression to invasive anal cancer are minimal and quickly diagnosed, treated and controlled.
