Ángel Corcóstegui Guraya

Biography

 Mr. Ángel Corcóstegui Guraya has a Doctorate in Finance and an MBA from the Wharton Business School (USA) and is a Road, Channel and Port Engineer by the University of Cantabria. He is President and Founding Partner of Magnum Capital, the largest venture capital fund dedicated to Iberia. Prior to founding Magnum in 2006, he was First Vice President and Managing Director of Banco Santander Central Hispano, now Banco Santander, between 1994 and 2002. Between 1987 and 1994, he was a member of the Board of Directors and General Manager of Banco Bilbao Vizcaya (BBV). He has also held Senior Economist positions for Chase Econometrics at Chase Manhattan Bank (USA) and Financial Analyst for the World Bank in Washington DC Mr. Corcóstegui is President of Eptisa, Iberchem and Orliman in Spain and a member of the Board of Governors of the Lauder Institute for Management & International Studies and the International Council of the Wharton Business School in the USA. From 1995 to 2002, he was a member, and later Vice-Chairman, of the Board of Directors and Executive Committee of Cepsa, representing one of the majority shareholders at that time, Banco Santander Central Hispano.
